Tell me about DLP LED technology, as used in Samsung’s new HDTV series.?
From what I understand, it replaces the need for both lamps and a colorwheel, which reduces the overall sound the set makes and eliminates the need for lamp replacements as the TV ages.
Is this too good to be true? What are the downsides, if any?
Those are good to know, thanks! I’m looking specifically into LED ones though, so there will never be a lamp replacement required. All those bits of information are helpful still!
The main downside is that these LEDs are not very bright.
In general, rear-projection TVs have a much better picture in a dark room. Off-angle viewing is not that great either.
These days, plasma and new 10-bit LCDs can display usually more colors than 8-bit DLPs.
In general, DLP LED rear-projection TVs are very close in price range with Plasma, and I would buy a plasma if I could afford the difference.

Does anyone know the name of the (Table, Chair & Lamp) set that wal-mart sold that looked fairy-ish themed?
The peices all looked like a flower. the chair had the middle of the flower to sit on with pink petals hanging off i believe with green leaves as well, and brown branch-like legs. I’m planning a romantic dinner for my boyfriend on Monday. It will be 15 months and I want to do something special. I am a college student and I dorm but I do not have a room mate anymore. I already know what kind of food I will have I just need ideas for transforming the room into a romantic setting. I have an extra desk and bed that was supposed to be for my room mate and we are not allowed to have candles but I have a desk lamp that I can use instead. Do you guys have any other ideas about music, decorations, etc.

How can i make my room look more like summer?
OK so i have always had problems with my room always wanting to change it because i never liked it. When i mean change it, not like repaint, or get anything brand new, just like rearrange my furniture and take some pictures off my wall. But I’m getting new bedding and my walls are blue (medium blue). The bedding is blue and yellow and green and lots of summer colors. How can i make my room more “summertime” ish? Like what can i add? I was thinking of putting like string lights around my bed. Like these (copy and paste) and there the second string lights
