Dale Tiffany Lamps?
Hi guys, I was just wondering what exactly dale tiffany is.. It’s not the famous tiffany brand is it? Is it a seperate manufacurer or something?
I plan on buying a dale tiffany dragonfly table lamp tonight since it’s 50% off of 260, and I have a 15 dollar off coupon. My father and my sister and I are pitching in to buy it for my mom for xmas since she’s always wanted the lamp. But I just wanted to know about dale tiffany.
It’s more than tiffany style lamps though right?
That’s the part I didn’t like… Made in China lol.. But I’m sure she’ll still love it.

Original Dale Tiffany lamps sell for thousands of dollars – you are buying a reproduction. The dragonfly is one of his more famous and popular styles. Just like you would buy a chippendale sofa today it in not made by Chippendale. Still a nice product being made in China for a reasonable price if I do my math right $115 go for it

Why did dropping my desk lamp make the bulb brighter?
And not only did it make it brighter, instead of it being that red or yellowish color its more of a blue now. Is the bulb going to blow? Should I drop all the lamps in the house?
if you used a fluoro lamp ( 11 or 13 watts) you’d use far less power, you’d get that bright “blue” light, your lamp’s intensity wouldn’t change if you dropped it, and most of all, you’d reduce your CO2 emissions.

I am going for an all white room and have a white bedside table with a white ihome and a white lamp. I also have a style tile with white whiteboard, magnetboard, and chalkboard with a white frame that has a pink marker on it. My lamp is one of those bendy ones where the bendy part is metal and every other part is white. I also have a white calendar behind my bedside table that is whiteboard. I have a white fluffy carpet and my real carpet is brownish grayish. So would it be like french or country or modern or…???

Desk Lamp Argos
How bad would it be to put a 100w bulb into a desk lamp that states that the bulb should be 40w max?
I have a requirement for particularly bright light. I bought a cheap desk lamp from Argos and some 100w bulbs.
When I got home, I noticed the lamp instructions stated that the maximum wattage of the bulb should be 40w.
If I put my 100w bulb into the desk lamp and switch it on, will it break the lamp?
Not immediately. You would probably get an hour or so of use before you noticed a strange smell. 100w bulbs offer more resistance to electricity than what a 40w lamp can carry. What happens is that the electricity doesn’t flow properly, it builds up in the thin wires of the lamp, and those wire begin to turn red hot. It’s a desk lamp, so I know you bought it from a store. I can in turn assume correctly that it is made of plastic or some other inferior material. If you should happen to forget and leave that 40w plastic lamp on with a 100w bulb in it, you would have at best: A circuit break. At worst: A fire in the middle of the night.

i think ive messed up my retina help pls!?
Okay right, i was in the living room and the tv was the only light source, it was night so dark and i hit the ceiling lamp shade, i put my hand on it to steady it and my mother came in and turned the light on, im not sure how strong the light bulb was, but i was looking directly into the light bulb for about 1-2 seconds. It was very bright but i remember seeing the brightest part which was the wire of the bulb. Will this damage my eyes, im guessing it will because going from dark to extremely light would be to much intake for my eyes thus killing the nerves? somebody explain im real worried im getting paranoid, it’s been about 4 months since the incident and everyday im like ‘i think im going blind’ help pls, also my eyes seem to be bloodshot all the time, slightly. i also wear glasses 
No, this won’t damage your retina as your eye is designed to take it. A household bulb is only approx. 100 watts – the light is hundreds of times brighter outside on a sunny day. In any event any damage would have been immediate so after 4 months you have no need to worry.

Another thing you could do is create your own wall art. You can go to an art store and buy a blank canvas and some paints and do an abstract art piece – or you could even cover it with patterned fabric if you aren’t into painting. Or be your own photographer – take some photos of your friends, family, pets, or favorite things around town, get a few prints at Walgreens and put them in a big frame with a thick mat. You will have original and unique art that is much cheaper than what you can buy in the store.

Outdoor wifi over 20 acres?
I am trying to design a wifi network that is as cheap as possible while remaining reliable and easy to install. I am looking for opinions on equipment and tutorials on the entire process or methods. My budget is 1500 for materials. The area is light forest and open ground. It is a light industrial “complex” with a few trailer offices and trees. No major buildings or obstacles and there is more or less a line of sight for most of the area.
That is pretty much what I have come up with unfortunately. Is there any way to do it while limiting the upgrading on the end user side? I want laptops and PDAs and such to connect from all over the property.
Buy a high powered wifi router with omni directional antenna. Then there are high powered USB wifi adapters with antenna(I saw one at amazon.com). You need to upgrade the antenna on both ends.
