How valuable is 1970′s lamp from EF EF Industries?

I am told it is brass and a “NO.515″ is stamped on the inside also. It is not a table or floor lamp it hangs from the ceiling with the cord covered in chain. It has three lights on the inside that reflect onto frosted glass that surrounds the chandeler type light. I plan on selling it to an antique shop but not untill I know how much it is worth.

i got a 2.0 uvb 13watt the other day looking for something i that will hold it, will a clamp desk lamp be okay.Could you suggest anything else that i could use that is over $30.

its for a brown tree frog and i checked the globe fits into the lamp, and the lamp can hold 40 watt? so can i?

I would not use a regular lamp because it will over heat- the light needs to be on for 12 hours a day. I would prefer Exo-Terra or Zoo-meds brand Ceramic lamps, because they will not over heat.

all i can suggest is to try and beg somebody by emailing whoever is selling the same exact lamp on ebay and offer to to buy them. all they would have to do is photocopy them or email or fax.

what color dining room set should i buy? My living room set is pretty modern.?

As in, it consists of 2 three seater couches and 1 one seater couch. The color is exactly not black. But when you first look at it, it is somewhat black and when you really look at it, it is navy blueish black. 2 side tables are made of oak and glass. the coffee table is glass with stainless steel sidings. i have another oak bookshelf near it and a black metal bookshelf/tvshelf. 2 stainless steel lamps and side table lambs are beige/cream colored. My current dining room set is made of glass top and ocean blue upholstery velvetty/satin chairs. the chairs don’t match with the couch set, i know. but i bought things on sale etc. i really want to buy a dining room set that matches my other furniture. So should i go for glass top or wood top? If wood, should i go for dark wood tops and black/brown leather chairs? I don’t like upholstery chairs b/c guests always spill things on them. please help. brown or black leather chairs? glass top or wooden top?

You’ve described a total mishmash of oak, glass, and metal of various colors. Maybe it all hangs together but I doubt it. Assuming it all looks thrown together, I’d say oak is the odd man out and should be avoided/replaced. The dining room chairs ideally should be midnight blue like the sofas but black is certainly preferable to brown. The table should be high tech, not oak. I think flat black steel would make a great table but I don’t know if anyone makes them. Glass is a cliche but at least fits the high-tech look that I think you should be striving for.

Is there a way to convert a wall-wired lamp to a plug-in-to-electrical-outlet lamp?

I purchased a lamp at Home Depot without thinking it through all the way. I want to hang it above my sink but there is no electrical wiring in the wall there to hook it up. Is there a way to convert it from one that is electrically wired into the wall to having a long wire and plug it into an electrical outlet?

Of course. Just go back to HD and buy a plug. However if you have never worked with wiring I wouldn’t recommend trying to do it yourself. The insulation has to be stripped off the ends and the bare wire wrapped around the two (or three) screws on the plug. If you get the ground wire on the wrong screw it will create a short circuit and trip the breaker (after a small display of sparks).
